We can be your onsite healthcare team!
We have teams onsite at large-scale auto manufacturers, industrial manufacturers, community retirement residences, and public sector employers. We know how important it is to understand the culture of a company or workplace is when supporting their employees on-site, because our team becomes part of the company we represent. This combined knowledge and experience allow us to make informed decisions that appreciate the perspective of both the employer and employee. At onTrack, we take the extra step by believing in the importance of the employer-employee relationship and that connecting the employee to the employer matters. We believe that employees want to work, and that employers want to help employees be their best at work.
Clinically Driven Best-Practices
We provide expert, timely, and evidence-based clinical assessment and treatment to assist employers with employee absences, injuries or illnesses, claims for short term and long-term disability, return to work determinations and accommodations within the workplace.
We believe in the fundamental principles of a functional model combined with a medical model that empowers an ill or injured person and their healthcare team to collaborate on restoring individual wellness. By gathering key functional data at the beginning of the journey, we see the person holistically and work with all stakeholders to provide a continuum of support. Our approach is “case-by-case”, and we balance flexibility in meeting specific needs with consistency, inclusiveness, fairness, and an equitable due process.

Ergonomic Services
Our ergonomists are carefully selected, trained and experienced in providing ergonomic services for our clients. Our team includes Canadin Certified Professional Ergonomists (CCPE) who lead our ergonomics program to ensure that the work achieved meets or exceeds industry standard and that our recommendations are evidence based to ensure optimal outcomes.
As a result of the pandemic, we have adapted our ability to modify how we deliver our services in a safe manner including through virtual means by incorporating pictures or videos. When we provide in-person assessments, our clinicians are trained to protect both the person’s and their own safety (COVID precautions).
We help with duty to accommodate
People who have an illness or injury and wish to remain at work or return to work may require an accommodation. We can help employees stay at work or return to work and improve how they do their job tasks.
An employer may also inquire and seek an Accommodation review to ensure that their employee is receiving the accommodations they need, based on the employee’s medical condition. We can be the healthcare team to bridge this knowledge.
Our functional model considers the abilities of the employee and the physical, cognitive and psycho-emotional demands of their job in order to develop an individualized accommodation plan based on the employee’s limitations and/or restrictions in what they can and cannot do.
Our accommodation services begin with a review of an individual’s medical condition to determine if the requested accommodation are consistent with the medical condition and necessary. We are able to confirm the relevant medically required restrictions and limitations and work with the employer to ensure an appropriate accommodation plan.

Improving Mental Health Outcomes
We can help with mental health improvement by ensuring accurate mental health diagnoses and by providing evidence-based treatment plans. We begin with an interactive, comprehensive assessment, allowing us to identify both the primary concern and any related external factors that may be affecting a person’s wellness and function. Our goal is to provide a clear diagnosis, education, skills, and techniques, tailored to each individual, to empower them with tools they can implement for the “job of living.” We then collaborate with the person’s treating practitioners and we work together with them as a team.
Proven Excellence in Disability Management Services
Disability management is our core business and we provide Short Term Disability Claims Adjudication, Case Management, Fitness for Duty assessments, Return to Work planning, and Accommodation assessments. These services help a person start work, stay at work or return to work.
Our proprietary work flows and processes ensure fairness, equity and consistency while providing highest quality care. We believe in continuous improvement by working jointly with our clients to ensure a customer-centric experience.
We focus on early intervention, fair case management and early return to work within the guidelines of applicable Canadian legislation, including Canadian Human Rights Act and Privacy legislatin to protect personal health and medical information.
